SimAntics

I participated in the documentary series Super Game Jam in May 2014 together with the awesome Tom Francis (Gunpoint, Heat Signature). In 48 hours we created SimAntics, a two-player competitive anteater simulator.

Super Game Jam is a documentary series about making video games in 48 hours by filmmakers Bram Ruiter and Daniel Oliveira Carneiro and is published by Devolver Digital. The final episode featuring Tom and me is available here on Steam together with the first four episodes and corresponding games!

{SimAntics was showcased at Fantastic Arcade 2014 in Austin, at Gamecity 2014 in Nottingham, at Join 2015 in Berlin and at TIFF digiPlaySpace 2016 in Toronto, at Incubate Arcade 2016 in Tilburg and at Bar SK in Melbourne as part of their animal themed December 2016 exhibition.}

Mockup of the game. The theme of the game jam was 'simulation' so we added true facts about anteaters.

Turning the game into multiplayer halfway during the jam made it way more fun!

Some players wrote messages with the anteater tongue!
